About the Chess Club

London Chess Education is a dynamic chess club dedicated to helping children enjoy and deepen their understanding of the game.

We hold our sessions at John Keble Church, Deans Lane, Edgware HA8 9NT, every Saturday from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

Please note there is limit of 20 students.

What Sets Us Apart:

• Children are grouped based on their ability and rating to ensure tailored learning experiences. Beginner, Intermediate (600-1000) & Advanced (1000+)

• Unlike many clubs, we assign classwork and homework to reinforce learning. If these are not completed, students will work on them during their friendly game sessions.

• Games played at the club are not rated, encouraging children to experiment and take creative risks without concern for consequences.

• Students are welcome to bring games from competitions for in-depth analysis during lessons.

Important Information for Parents:

• Drop-off is at 3:30 PM, and collection is promptly at 5:30 PM.

• Snacks are not provided, so please pack fruits and water for your child. (Note: Nuts are not allowed.)

Age Range: 5–18 years
Cost: £20.00 per session

Weekly Club Schedule:

• 3:30 PM – 4:00 PM: Friendly games or completion of assigned work

• 4:00 PM – 4:30 PM: Coaching sessions, divided into Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced groups

• 4:30 PM – 5:00 PM: Practice games with specific training goals (not rated)

• 5:00 PM – 5:30 PM: Review of games and explanation of assigned homework
