Brief summary: Checkmate Patterns, Tactical Awareness, Reviewing Classic Openings + Endgames

Our teachings are inspired from the ‘Step-by-Step Method’ used by many of the top European chess countries, whilst drawing from other resources such as the ‘Yusupov Training Series’ and GM Ramesh RB teachings

We look to teach chess backwards, from checkmates to then to openings then we move to strategies. For the stronger players, we often stress the importance of endgames being able to have clinical calcuation as this is the fundamentals to being a great chess player.

The games at the camp are 30mins each, this is to emphasize the importance on taking their time, if children finish their games early they will be playing friendlies or mini chess games whilst they wait.

There will be 7 ECF rated graded games played over the 4 days.
